Loud, Proud and Passionate! (sm) a new Mobility International USA Video

Signing and singing with passion in Arabic, Spanish and English, 54 disabled women activists from 43 countries celebrate the achievements, pride and solidarity of women with disabilities around the world. These leaders are revolutionizing the status of women and girls worldwide. Filmed during MIUSA’s 5^th International Women’s Institute on Leadership and Disability (WILD), the Loud, Proud and Passionate!^(SM)  music video release marks the beginning of MIUSA’s 30^th Anniversary year-long celebration.

MIUSA's goal is to reach 2,500 views and to raise funds through donations for the next WILD program empowering women and girls with disabilities. Every donation large or small brings us closer to that goal! To donate, visit http://www.miusa.org/donate/wild.

"Conversations" - A New Peace Corps Public Service Announcement

The Peace Corps recently produced this excellent PSA entitled "Conversations" about a returned Volunteer trying to explain his experiences to people that just don't understand.  Now, I was not a Peace Corps Volunteer so I can't relate with what I can only imagine is an awesome experience.  However, I think many study abroad students go through similar experiences upon their return home.  I know I had similar experiences after my two exchange program experiences to Rosenheim, Germany in high school and after my study abroad experience in Valladolid, Spain during college.  To be sure, my experiences in Germany and Spain were nothing like what a Peace Corps Volunteer experiences...

Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc. (ECE)® E-Learning Opportunities for early 2011

In early 2010, Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc. (ECE®) launched a new E-Learning training program and I was so excited about it that I posted here to IHEC Blog. The following is more information about their new training program:

E-Learning is an online training program for international admissions professionals, recruiters, credential evaluators, and anyone interested in education completed outside of the United States. Part lecture, part interactive, and very practical, our sessions will be facilitated and taught by the experienced, knowledgeable, and trusted evaluation staff of ECE. All that is needed are a computer and a telephone.

Pictured here are the latest donations to Bury Book International Education Library & Archive.  These are excellent additions to my collection!  I don't publicly state who the donations are from because I don't know if the donor(s) are okay with this and I want to maintain their privacy.  I do want to take this opportunity to publicly state my THANKS to the most recent donor and that her/his donation is greatly appreciated!  A special thanks goes out to the four individuals who have made donations to Bury Book over the past couple of years.
