John Durkin, a Bates College student, went missing in Rome on 2/19/14. He is an student on the Trinity College Program in Rome.

There are photos of John and the bar (Sloppy Sam's) where he was last seen that have been posted on Twitter via @JDurkinMissing and #finddurkin (my guess there is a similar information campaign on FB).

I do think that retweets, FB posts and media reports about John are important and I think we (as a field) have an opportunity to push this notice about John to our students currently studying in Rome, Italy and across Europe for that matter as they are the eyes and ears on the ground!
