The UK in the USA website of the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (official website of the British Embassy in the United States) reports in their Newsroom that Ambassador Sir Nigel Sheinwald hosted a reception on March 4th in celebration of the US-UK Fulbright Commission’s 60th anniversary. During the reception, the US-UK Fulbright Commission announced their plan to increase the number of new awards by the year 2010 by 30%. This is excellent news for future Fulbright applicants as the United Kingdom is the most competitive country in the Fulbright U.S. Student Program competition.
